Team members

Ondřej

Ondřej is a student of the 9th term at the Masaryk university Faculty of Law. He spent one term in Germany at the University of Konsanz. His special focus is on international commercial law and international procedural law. Ondřej is practicing in a law office as a law clerk. He speaks English and German, and enjoys all kind of sports.

Lukáš

Lukáš is a 4th year student at the Faculty of Law and Faculty of Economics and Administration with specialization in Business management at Masaryk University. Since grammar school, he acts as a coach and competitor in academic debate tournaments. Lukáš gained practical experiences by consulting law and economic issues in various family companies. He is interested in economy, business, commercial law, and arbitration on a national and international level. Free time activities consist of philosophy, gastronomy, chess, squash, hiking and martial arts.

Martin

Martin is 4th year student at the Masaryk university Faculty of Law where he focuses on civil and international law. He has been working in attorney office as an assistant for the past two years. He is going to study as an ERASMUS exchange student at the Faculty of Law of the University in Maribor during the fall term. He speaks fluent English, and has also basic knowledge of German. Martin’s hobbies include literature, tennis or cycling.

Andrea

Andrea is a 4th year student year at the Masaryk university Faculty of Law. Above all, she is interested in the procedural law within the European Union, law of the arbitration procedure and commercial law. Recently, she returned back from Germany, where she had focused on the Law of the European Union at the University of Konstanz. She speaks fluently English and German. In addition to the legal practice at a private law company as well as at court. Andrea is keen on reading, and even though she is not familiar with sports at all, she is slowly discovering the secrets of Pilates.

Ladislav

Ladislav is a 4th year student at the Faculty of Law, and the 2nd year student of bachelor's program devoted to Internatinal Relations and European Studies in the Faculty of Social studies, both at Masaryk University. During studies he has focused mainly on commercial and private international law. Lukáš speaks fluent English and is skilled in German. His leisure time is dedicated to active sports, literature and theatre visits.

Ondřej

Ondřej is a 4th year student at the Masaryk university Faculty of Law. He spent previous year as a legal practitioner in a law firm mostly dealing with insolvency and corporate law. Ondřej attended a semester in Manistique High School, Michigan, as a participant in a student exchange program. He enjoys looking into procedural aspects of cases, especially those involving arbitration, and mutual relationship between judicial and arbitral proceedings. Ondřej speaks English fluently and has basic knowledge of German. He is keen on any kind of sport, history books and 19th century rural novels.

Jarmila

Jarmila is a 4th year student at the Masaryk university Faculty of Law. She is committed to private international and business law. She spent her exchange year at the University of Glasgow. Having returned, Jarmila started interning at the International Department of the Czech Supreme Court. She was a Vis Moot participant in 2008/09. Jarmila speaks fluent English and German.

Matúš

After graduation from Masaryk university Faculty of Law. Matúš decided to participate in the Vis moot as non-student participant. He decided to join moot team because of his interest in international arbitration and commercial law. Matúš speaks English fluently, and he has also basic knowledge of German and Spanish. In his free time, Matúš likes listening to music or doing sports such as badminton or fitness.

Coaches

Mr. Cisár

Mr. Cisár finished his master degree with honors in 2009, and he is currently a PhD candidate at the Masaryk university Faculty of Law in the field of international and European law. He focuses on the arbitration in international relations. Mr. Cisár spent one term at the Faculty of Law of University of Lapland in Finland. He participated in Vis moot in its 16th and 17th year. He also took part in the Szeged Model of United Nations in 2010. As an intern, he gained experiences in the attorney’s office both in Slovakia and Czech Republic. Mr. Cisár speaks English fluently and has basic knowledge in Finish and German, and he is interested in history

Mr. Halla

Mr. Halla is a graduate of the Masaryk University Faculty of Law. Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of international and European law, with specialization in private international law and arbitration. During his master studies, he participated in an exchange program and studied at the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, focusing on contract and conflicts of law issues. While in Chicago, he also underwent a short-term traineeship to one of City of Chicago departments, and helped to research legal issues. Mr. Halla is currently employed as an in-house legal counsel for a commercial concern conducting business in oil & gas sector. As the student, Mr. Halla participated in 16th Vis moot. In his free time, he enjoys jogging and playing badminton.

Mr. Hülle

Mr. Hülle is a Ph.D. candidate specializing in private international law and intellectual property law. He graduated at the Masaryk university Faculty of Law and obtained Chancellor’s Award for the best master’s students. He was an exchange student at the University of Bialystok and attended various summer schools (World Intellectual Property Organisation - South Korea, Humboldt University, Tulane Law School, University of Wroclaw, Vienna University of Economics and Business). He practices law as a associate in an international law firm with focus on dispute settlement, IT and IP law, unfair competition and commercial law. He was Vis moot participant in 2008/2009, and coached Masaryk University team in 17th. He speaks fluent English, and has basics of German, Polish and Spanish. Mr. Hülle enjoys playing squash and tennis, reading and theatre plays.

Ms. Obertová

Ms. Obertová is 5th year student at the Masaryk University Faculty of Law. She focuses on commercial and international private law. She spent one year at Université Paul Cézanne in France and a 3 months internship with an international law firm in Prague. She competed in 16th and 17th Vis moot. Presently, she works at the Supreme Court and as a paralegal in a law firm. Ms. Obertová speaks English and French fluently, and is interested in travelling, art and golf.
