Team members

Alexandra Živělová

Alexandra is a 4th year student at the Masaryk university Faculty of Law. In the future she wants to specialize in the field of commercial law and is also interested in the area of international private law. Alexandra speaks fluent English, and has basic knowledge of German. In her leisure time she likes travelling and reading.

Iva Šimková

Iva has started her 7th term at the Masaryk university Faculty of Law. She is interested in civil and commercial law, especially when there is some international aspect included. She worked at the Association of Arbitrators for one year and since July 2011 she has been practicing in a law firm focused mostly on contract and insolvency law. Iva is proud and active member of ELSA (European Law Student Association). In her free time, she enjoys watching good movie or spending time with her friends.

Jan Hlubuček

Jan is the 3rd year student of the faculty of law. He is interested in civil law, alternativedispute resolution, corporate law and any foreign-related legal matters. Jan isan active member of European Law Students' Association, section Seminars and Conferences. He is fluent in English and German and has basic knowledge ofRussian. Apart from law and moot court, Jan is keen on music (he plays theelectric guitar in a band), reading books and debating.

Jiří Platovský

Jiří is a 4th year student at the Masaryk University Faculty of Law. He is particularly interested in legal theory and philosophy, civil law, international private law and IT law. He spent one semester as Erasmus Exchange Student at Mykolas Romeris University in Vilnius, Lithuania. He speaks fluently English and has fair knowledge of German. His leisure time is dedicated to sports, reading and foreign languages learning.

Jiří Uhříček

Jiří is 4th year student at the Faculty of Law, and 4th year student of psychology at the Faculty of Social Studies both at Masaryk University. He spent one term in Sweden at Örebro University. Jiří is interested in international law, commercial law and persuasive psychology. He is keen on badminton, darts, music and literature.

Martin Boroš

Martin is a 5th year student at the Faculty of Law and a graduated studentof Sociology at the Faculty of Social Sciences at Masaryk university in Brno.He spent the spring semester 2011 studying at the University of Porto in Portugal. Martin worked as a country editor of Czech and Slovak Supreme Court's decisions, which were related to European law. He also conducted a research about the Velvet Revolution and young people in Slovakia. Martin is interested in international private and commercial law, corporate law and energy law. He speaks English fluently and has intermediate knowledge of German. Martin is interested in sports (football, badminton, jogging) and art (music, theatre, and literature).

Michal Feigler

Michal is a 4th year student at the Faculty of Law. He specializes in international dispute resolution and humanitarian law. While in high school, he spent a year in the United States. Michal speakes English, communicates in German, and enjoys learning French. He devotes his spare time to investing and hunting.

Coaches

Mr. Cisár

Mr. Cisár a 3rd year Ph.D. student at the Masaryk University, Faculty of Law, from which he graduated in 2009 with honors as the master of law. Through the Ph.D. studies Mr. Cisár has been gaining expertise in the fields of international and European law. His research interests primary focuse on international arbitration, especially regarding international relations. During his master's studies he spent a semester in Finland as an exchange student and underwent traineeship in both Czech and Slovak legal offices. Ivan was both 16th and 17th Vis Moot participant, and from there on he has been acting as a Masaryk's team coach and premoot arbitrator. Ivan speaks English fluently and has a basic knowledge of Finish and German, and in his free time he enjoys reading about history.

Ms. Drličková

Ms. Drličková is currently holding the position of an assistant professor at the Masaryk University, Faculty of Law, in the Department of International and European Law. Her expertise lies in the field of international commercial arbitration and the conflicts of law issues. Her Ph.D. thesis focused on the concept of lex arbitri, its role during the conduct of the arbitration proceedings and especially its influence on the phase of the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards.

Mr. Halla

Mr. Halla graduated from Masaryk University, Faculty of Law in 2009. During his studies at MUFL, he became an exchange student with the John Marshall Law School exchange program and spent a half year in Chicago, studying at JMLS and undergoing traineeship in on of the departments of the City of Chicago. After graduating from Masaryk University, he enrolled in its Ph.D. program, and he is now in his 3rd year focusing on the international commercial arbitration and the conflicts of law issues. Alongside his doctoral studies, Mr. Halla works as a senior in-house counsel and compliance officer for one of the Czech gas storage operators, part of the oil and gas enterprises. Mr. Halla was 16th Vis Moot participant and since then he has been acting as a couch of Masaryk team and arbitrator in the premoots. In his spare time Slavo enjoys playing badminton, and reading good detective novels.

Mgr. Tomáš Hülle

Mr. Hülle studied law at Masaryk University, Faculty of Law. He has completed internships with major domestic as well as international law firms and continued as an associate working for another international law firm. Curently, he is responsible for all legal issues in The Economist magazine. In 2009, he has obtained Rectors award for the best magister students of Masaryk University. Currently, he has been writing a Ph.D. thesis in the field of international arbitration and online disputes resolution. Tomáš participated in the Moot in 2009 and he has been coaching and arbitrating since then. In his spare time, Tomáš enjoys playing squash, skiing, visiting theatre and reading.
