Mgr. Kristýna Gembalová

Kristýna is currently in her fifth year of studies at Masaryk University, Faculty of Law. She spent autumn semester 2015 at Northumbria University in the United Kingdom where she mainly focused on sales and contract law. She gained practical experience in several legal internships. She is fluent in English and has basic knowledge in French. Apart from studying, she enjoys cooking, hiking, exploring foreign destinations and practising sports (dance, inline, badminton, yoga).

Mgr. Bc. Jiří Kappel

Jiří is in his last year at the Faculty of Law, Masaryk University. He is mainly focused on tax law and its recent international and European developments. Apart from his curricular activities at Masaryk University, he attended international tax law summer schools in Vienna and Cracow and spent spring semester 2016 at Faculty of Law, Gent University. Jiří gained practical experience and legal skills during his internships at Financial Administration. He currently works on his thesis and number of research papers. In his spare time Jiří used to enjoy reading, video games, music and sport. Now, he does not have any spare time.

Mgr. Bc. Tamara Korešová

Tamara is currently in her fourth year at the Faculty of Law, Masaryk University. Apart from Private International Law, she is also interested in Investment Law, European Law and Constitutional Law. In order to broaden knowledge of European Law and politics she spent one month as an intern in the European Parliament, Brussels, where she worked mainly on subjects discussed in the International Trade Committee. Moreover, she spent short summer internship in Allen & Overy LLP Prague at the Banking department. Currently, she works as a paralegal in law firm in Brno. She uses last bits of her spare time for horseback riding, tennis and golf.

Mgr. Ondřej Málek

Ondřej is currently in the fourth year of his studies at the Faculty of Law, Masaryk University. He loves theory of legal argumentation and philosophy of law (especially influenced by works of German legal positivists). Ondřej gains practical experience as a paralegal focusing on corporate law. He has passion for good wine and food.

Mgr. Tereza Vaculíková

Tereza is currently in her penultimate year at the Faculty of Law, Masaryk University. During her studies she worked as an intern in Brussels at European Olympic Committee, and at a law firm in Birmingham. She takes part in Vis Moot because she wants to improve her language and argumentation skills, and to gain deeper knowledges of international trade law. In her free time she enjoys sport, spending time in the countryside and exploring world.

Michal Hlavačka

Michal is last year student at Faculty of Law, Masaryk University. After participating in 22nd Vis Moot, he spent two semesters studying at Deakin Unversity in Melbourne. He is interested in Private International Law, Commercial Law and public procurement. Michal is fluent in English and speaks Spanish. Apart from studying law Michal enjoys all kinds of sports and he is keen on music and videography.

After graduating from the Faculty of Law of the Masaryk University, Marcela started to work at the Supreme Administrative Court of the Czech Republic. She participated in 22nd VIS moot as a team member and she is pleased to get heavily involved in VIS again this year and serve as a coach. In her spare time, she likes to go into the nature and enjoy the moments without modern civilization. That is why she is addicted to backpacking, mountain ultramarathons and via ferrata.

Klára is holding the position of an assistant professor at the Masaryk University, Faculty of Law, in the Department of International and European Law. Her expertise lies mainly in the field of Private International Law and international commercial arbitration. Currently, she focuses mainly on the issue of protection of public interests in international commercial arbitration and on confidentiality in international commercial arbitration. She served as a “full time“ coach of the Masaryk University Vis Moot team from 2011. At present she serves more as a supervisor who is prepared to give hand in both written and oral part of the competition. She i salso responsible for all organisational matters including the organisation of Brno Pre-moot. In her spare time she enjoys travelling, reading books, practising yoga and meeting friends.
